1. Information We Collect
When you create an account on Kshurika Academy, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and your role on the platform (student or teacher). When you enroll in a batch, payment information is collected and processed securely through Razorpay; we never store full card or bank details on our servers.
When you contact us or request a demo, we store the details you submit, your learning interests and any contact permission with your enquiry so our team can respond.
For signed-in accounts, we record login and logout times, recent page paths, and estimated active and idle periods. Academy administrators can review these records to understand platform use and support account access. Activity estimates use browser focus and recent interaction signals; they do not record what you type, URL query strings, or activity in other websites or apps. These account activity records are separate from optional Google Analytics and continue when Google Analytics is declined.
When an adult requests a course syllabus on WhatsApp, we save their name, number, selected course, campaign context and the time and wording of their permission. Course offers require the separate, optional marketing choice. Leaving it unchecked does not affect the syllabus request. We do not obtain your phone number merely because you browse our website or accept analytics cookies.
To stop WhatsApp syllabus follow-ups and promotions, use the unsubscribe link in a message or reply STOP. Our team can also record your request to stop. We keep a minimal suppression record so a later website request does not silently undo your opt-out. Existing class access is unaffected. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to submit their own details.
If you open website chat, our self-hosted shared inbox stores your messages and the contact details you choose to share. A functional chat cookie lets you return to your conversation on the same browser. Authorised staff use these enquiries to answer your questions and arrange requested follow-ups. Optional WhatsApp permission applies to your enquiry; it is not permission for unrelated promotions. You can ask us to stop following up.
Our AI course guide uses Xiaomi MiMo to answer your questions. When you send a chat message, we store the conversation on our server and send the relevant conversation and public course information to the AI provider. Please avoid sharing passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in chat. A functional session identifier in this tab’s session storage keeps your conversation connected; we do not save your contact form details in browser storage. Anonymous chat history is scheduled for deletion after 30 days. If you submit an enquiry, authorised staff can review the conversation with the contact details and permission you provide to arrange your requested follow-up; this enquiry record remains available separately for that purpose. The AI guide cannot confirm a booking or payment.
During live classes, we capture attendance through periodic heartbeat signals to track your participation accurately. We also store chat messages and doubts you post during sessions so they remain available to your batch and teacher.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To share important updates about your batches.
- To improve our services based on aggregate usage patterns.
3. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes. Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in, remember your theme, and secure the site; these are always on because the platform cannot function without them. Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
For analytics we use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics is switched off by default and no analytics cookie is set until you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics stays disabled. Analytics data is aggregated and we do not use it to serve ads or to identify you personally; IP addresses are handled by Google in line with its data-processing terms.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using or the link in our footer.
When you send a course-guide chat message or submit an enquiry, we may attach campaign labels from the link you followed and the referring website domain to help our team understand your request. These labels contain no form contact details. We retain the labels in this tab’s session storage only if you accept analytics; otherwise they remain in page memory during navigation. Labels may be saved with the chat or enquiry when you send it. The functional course-guide session identifier is separate from these optional analytics labels.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with:
- Razorpay, for secure payment processing.
- Twilio, for optional SMS notifications.
- Jitsi, for live video conferencing (limited to your display name).
- Google Analytics, for aggregate usage analytics — only after you consent.
- WhatsApp (Meta), to deliver the syllabus and conversations you request and, if you separately opt in, course updates. Authorised staff manage these requests in our self-hosted shared inbox.
- Xiaomi MiMo, to process the messages you send to our AI course guide and generate replies.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and JWT-based authentication. Payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay and never stored on our servers.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You can update your profile information at any time from the Settings page in your dashboard.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw your analytics consent at any time (via ), and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
